Stephen Boniface
As the Director of BE Conservation, Stephen is a cornerstone of the UK heritage community. A Chartered Surveyor since 1984 and a Fellow of the RICS un til the end of 2026, his career has been a masterclass in building pathology and the philosophy of repair.
From Neolithic flint mines to historic castles, Stephen has dealt with a vast range of vernacular materials. He is a co-founder of the Conservation Summer School and continues to lead the industry through his Talking Conservation platform.
He co-founded BEST Training to ensure core conservation competencies are accessible to the next generation of surveyors.
Ian Bullock
With over 25 years' experience as a Chartered Surveyor, Ian brings a personal, "boots-on-the-ground" approach to building pathology. His expertise covers everything from 16th-century Listed buildings to modern construction methods.
Ian is also a key figure in the PropTech space as a developer of Surventrix, a platform built "By Surveyors, For Surveyors." He is passionate about helping other professionals develop their practice and achieve success.
